Description
Heys Cottage and the attached barn date back to 1695. The building is constructed from coursed squared stone and ashlar, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. It has two storeys and features two bays. On the right side, there is a board door set in a chamfered stone surround with a basket-arched lintel, which is inscribed with "RSVS 1695". Next to this door is a small 4-pane casement window. The remaining windows are double-chamfered, 4-light mullioned windows. The building has one ridge stack, a quoined central doorcase, and slit ventilation holes on the barn.
