  1. Sculptor: F Derwentmood, ARA Bronze. Life-size standing statue in informal pose, but wearing Court dress and Garter Robes.

Ashlar plinth. Two steps. Concave panelled front and rear, with inscriptions. Scrolled consoles and swags either side.

The Marquess, who lived at Studley Royal, was not just Viceroy of India, but also Mayor of Ripon.
