Description

Old Park House is a late 18th or early 19th century house constructed of brown brick, located on the north side of Park Street in Ripon. It has a hipped slate roof and three storeys. A projecting wood modillioned eaves cornice runs around the building. The front facade has three bays with cased flush-framed sash windows featuring glazing bars and channelled stucco voussoirs. The ground floor has two canted bays with moulded wooden cornices. The front door is recessed within a moulded surround and flanked by two Tuscan half-columns supporting a full entablature. An approach to the eastern side door is defined by a fence made from 18th century turned wooden stair balusters and columnar newels.
