Description
Johnsons Gate Farmhouse and the attached barn date from the late 18th century and are built in one range. The structure features coursed squared rubble with a stone slate roof. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays. There is a central doorway with a plain stone surround and a triangular stone hood above it. Each floor has three-light recessed square mullion windows with sashes. The rear of the building has similar windows, although one on the left side has lost its mullions. There is also a Gothic stair window with fixed glazing. The farmhouse has two chimneys, and the barn is roofed continuously with the house.
