Description
Gubshill Farmhouse, probably built in the late 17th century, is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and stands two storeys high. The ground floor features five openings, all of which are double-chamfered stone mullion windows with configurations of 4, 2, 5, and 3 lights, except for one window that has been recently created from a chamfered, Tudor-arched doorway in the right-hand room. The original windows have hood-moulds above them. There is also a small blocked light just above lintel height in this bay, the purpose of which is uncertain. On the first floor, there are four double-chamfered stone mullion windows with 3, 3, 3, and 2 lights. The building has three chimney stacks. Inside, the right-hand room features deep stop-chamfered beams.
