Description

No. 125 Longwestgate is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic and a basement. It is constructed of red brick and features a stucco string course at the first floor level, along with another string course above the first-floor windows. The building has a bracketed wooden cornice and a gable end roof covered with pantiles.

The façade has two windows with an entrance located to the right. The windows are recessed sashes with intact glazing bars. The door consists of six fielded panels and is set within an arched doorcase that has reeded pilasters, narrow console brackets, a broken cornice, and an open pediment with a panelled soffit. Above the door is a semi-circular fanlight. There are 19th-century spearhead railings in front of the area, leading up steps to the door.

The cornice and string courses continue onto Nos. 127 and 129, which are part of a group with Nos. 119 to 135.
