Description

This is a late 18th-century pair of symmetrical houses located on Princess Street. They are set back from the street, with a long terrace garden behind and a central stepped approach between the terraces, which conceal garages. The houses are four storeys high with an attic, built of red brick with rendered string courses at each floor level. They have a parapet with moulded stone coping and a gable end pantile roof, punctuated by three flat-roofed dormers. There are six windows on the upper floors; at No. 32, these are flush framed sashes, while at No. 34, they are recessed sashes, all with later glazing. Each house originally had a six-panel flush door that was formerly topped with a Gothic fanlight and a pediment hood, but this has since been removed. No. 32 has a lattice porch.
