Description
This is a pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, located on the south side of Princess Street. They are built of red brick above a stone plinth. The front features a wooden frieze with triglyphs, a gutter cornice, and a gable end roof covered in pantiles. Each house has two windows, with glazing bar sashes. The front doors consist of six fielded panels, set within doorcases featuring reeded pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice above. Cast lead rainwater heads and downpipes are also present. Nos. 39 to 47 (the odd numbers) form a group.
