Description
The garden wall and terrace located between Nos 26 and 28 of No 123 Longwestgate is an early 19th-century stone structure. It features flanking piers that were originally panelled but are now rendered, along with central gate piers that were once topped with muted vases. The garden is accessed through plain wrought iron gates that have a waved cresting, flanked by spearhead rails with connecting circles and dog rails. The rendered back wall retains the upper garden terrace and includes a flight of steps to the side, which also has spearhead rails. This garden wall and terrace is an important element in the street's appearance. All the listed buildings on the north side from Nos 2 to 30 form a cohesive group.
