Description

This is a mid-19th century terrace of three houses on Princess Street. The buildings are two storeys high and built of stucco, with a slate roof and shallow flat eaves. Dormer windows are visible. Each house has two windows on the first floor, with one round-headed, blind window above the entrance. The ground floor windows are recessed sash windows with later glazing. The entrances to numbers 21 and 23 are paired, with one modern door and the others being four-panel doors with semi-circular fanlights, pilaster frames, architraves, and console keystones. Number 25 forms a corner block with Princess Terrace and may be a re-facing of an earlier building. The front of the Terrace features a two-storey, pilastered bay to the left, and next to the corner, two tripartite sash windows with pilaster divisions. The buildings are listed for group value, forming a group with numbers 6 and 7 Princess Terrace and number 8 Tuthill. The entire group of listed buildings on the South Side, from numbers 5 to 25, are also listed together.
