Description

This is a late 18th-century building on Princess Street. It is three storeys high with an attic, constructed of red brick and featuring a gable-end pantile roof. The front facade has a single window. The first and second floors have large, flush-framed sash windows, with later glazing and flat stucco arches above. An entrance is located on the first floor to the left, consisting of a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight. This is accessed by a curving flight of eight stone steps, incorporating a landing positioned opposite the door. There is an arched entrance to the ground floor, located under the landing. The steps are edged by 18th-century plain iron railings. The building contributes to a notable group of listed buildings running along the North Side of Princess Street, from numbers 2 to 30.
