Description
Nos 6 and 7 Princess Terrace are buildings dating from around 1840 to 1850, likely representing a recasing of an earlier structure. No 6 is three storeys tall, while No 7 is two storeys. Both buildings are faced with stucco and have low slate roofs with flat eaves.
No 6 features three windows, including a round-headed window above the door to the right. The windows to the left are recessed sashes with intact glazing bars and flat arches. The door of No 6 has fielded panels and a blind fanlight.
No 7 has a two-window front and includes a two-storey pilastered canted bay to the left, with a round-headed window above the door to the right. The door of No 7 consists of four moulded panels and has a semi-circular fanlight, with stucco pilasters flanking it and consoles supporting the architrave arch.
The return front of No 25 Princess Street forms part of the same block, and these buildings are listed for their group value with No 25 Princess Street and No 8 Tuthill.
