Description

Walker Cottage is a house dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble and features a pantile roof. The original layout was a two-cell, direct-entry plan, with an outshut that was extended in the 19th century. The building is two stories high and has a two-window front, with the entrance located on the left side of the outshut. The windows are three-light, small-pane horizontal sliding sashes that have painted stone sills and flat arches above them. At the rear, there is a single-storey continuous outshut with a catslide roof, which includes one two-light small-pane horizontal sliding sash window to the right of a plank door.
