Description
Briar Cottage, Glebe Cottage, Pheasant, and Laurel Cottage is a terrace of four cottages dating from the mid-19th century. The front is made of dressed sandstone, while the sides are rock-faced. The cottages feature sandstone ashlar quoins and dressings, and they have a plain slate roof with fishscale slate insets. The building is two stories high with an eight-window front. Each end has a board door, and there are paired doors in the center, with 2-light, 12-pane fixed-light windows throughout. All openings are framed with chamfered quoined surrounds, featuring shallow ogee arches above the doors and flat arches above the windows. The ground-floor openings have segmental relieving arches. There are ridge stacks at the center left and right of the hipped roof, which has overhanging eaves.
