Description

Saunders is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features coursed, squared rubble on a chamfered plinth, with a first-floor sill band. The hipped roof is covered with graduated slate and has brick chimneys on stone bases at each end. The front of the house is two stories high and has three bays. The central entrance has a panelled door with a semicircular fanlight set in a rusticated surround. To the left, there is a single window, and to the right, there is a paired window, which may be a later alteration. Above, there are three windows. All the windows have semicircular heads with projecting keystones and impost blocks in stone surrounds. The upper windows are sashes with glazing bars and interlaced heads, while the lower windows are also sashes.
