Description

Garth Cottage is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble and features rusticated quoins. The roof is made of graduated slate with stone copings, kneelers, and end chimneys, and there is an outshut at the rear. The front of the house is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays, and includes a central part-glazed door. There was a brass plaque in a pedimented frame above the door, but it is now missing. Each floor has two 20th-century casements set in the original stone surrounds. Additionally, there is a projection of a ground-floor oven in the west wall.
