Description
This is a warehouse, probably built in the late 18th century, located to the west of Number 1 on Buxton Place in Ulverston. The structure is made of rubble with limestone dressings and has a corrugated asbestos roof. It has three main storeys plus an attic. The north wall features one bay on each side of a central loading slot. The windows are casements with plain reveals, and the attic storey is illuminated by shallow windows located under the eaves. The loading slot has a lucan with timber doors and timber platforms at each storey supported by stone corbels. On the ground floor, the right-hand bay includes a cart entrance with an elliptical arch and keystone, while the left-hand bay has a window with a doorway to its right.
