Description
The Post Office/Store, originally a house and adjoining cottage, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed, squared rubble with rusticated quoins on a chamfered plinth and features moulded eaves. The graduated slate roof is topped with corniced stone chimneys at the mid and end. The building has two storeys and three bays. There is a panelled door set in a doorcase with tapered Tuscan pilasters that support a segmental pediment. On the left side, there are three 2-pane sash windows, and one 2-pane sash window on the right side, on each floor, all featuring glazing bars within stone surrounds.
