Description

Blencathra View is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features dressed red sandstone on a chamfered plinth, with a string course and raised V-jointed quoins. The roof is covered with graduated green slate and has stone chimney stacks at each end. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. A 20th-century glazed door with a fanlight is framed by a plain raised stone surround. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, also have plain raised stone surrounds. A barn extension to the left is not included in the listing.
