Description
Town End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1762, inscribed with the names Thomas and Ann Morton above the entrance. It is constructed of red sandstone coursed rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with rebuilt stone chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. The entrance includes a four-panel top glazed door with a chamfered stone surround, an inscribed panel in the frieze, and a moulded cornice. The 19th-century windows are two-pane sash windows with plain painted stone surrounds. At the rear, there are early 19th-century extensions that have similar stonework, plank doors, and sash windows with glazing bars.
