Description

Hillcrest is a house, formerly a farmhouse, dated 1736, with the inscription J & M Wilson above the entrance. It is constructed of coursed red sandstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with bottom courses of sandstone slates, along with rendered ridge and end chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has two bays. The early 19th-century fenestration includes two-pane sash windows with plain surrounds. The 20th-century plank door has a chamfered surround and a dated and inscribed frieze. The rear rendered wall retains small upper floor window openings with chamfered surrounds. The listing does not include the later outbuildings.
