Description
Green Edge is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed red sandstone and features a graduated green slate roof with coped gables and kneelers, as well as end stone chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. A 20th-century projecting porch made of red sandstone with a slate roof is located at the extreme left, covering the original entrance. The windows have small square chamfered surrounds and replacement 3-pane sashes, with a small 20th-century bathroom window on the upper floor to the left. There is a single-storey extension at the rear that dates from the late 18th century, along with a 20th-century side porch. An adjoining barn and outbuildings to the left are now part of a separate property and are not included in the listing.
