Description
Fremington is a house built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features dressed red sandstone walls with raised quoins and is topped by graduated greenslate roofs, which are complemented by banded red sandstone chimney stacks. The left wing of the house is positioned at right angles to the road and has two storeys with three bays. The right wing runs parallel to the road, also two storeys with two bays, and includes a single-storey, single-bay extension, creating an overall L-shape. The left wing has sash windows set in painted stone surrounds, while the right wing features a panelled door with a radial fanlight, framed by a pedimented pilastered doorcase, and a sash window in a stone surround. Additionally, there is a two-storey canted bay window with glazing bars on the right side, and the extension has a small sash window.
