Description
Number 60 and the entrance to Yard 62 is a shop, likely from the 18th century, that was refronted in the early 19th century for William Kidd. The building features ashlar stonework with an interrupted first-floor band and an eaves cornice supported by dentils. It has a graduated slate roof with rendered end chimneys and two gabled dormers. The structure is three storeys high and consists of three bays. The shop front includes panelled double doors with a rectangular fanlight, situated between plate-glass windows. To the left, the entrance to the yard has a wooden gate topped with spikes and a wrought-iron grille above. This entrance is framed by paired, fluted and panelled pilasters that support a wooden cornice. Each floor above has three sash windows with glazing bars, with the windows on the first floor being taller.
