Description
No. 4 Market Place is a house from the mid to late 19th century located in Dalton in Furness. The building is pebble-dashed with a slate roof and has two storeys plus an attic. It features two windows on the first floor. The doorway on the left has a four-panelled door with a plain overlight, set beneath a cornice supported by consoles. In the centre of the ground floor, there is a large four-pane sash window with a projecting stone sill. On the first floor, a cemented band runs beneath the sills of narrower four-pane sash windows. The eaves are moulded, and there are stacks at each end. The interior has not been inspected. Historically, there was a blind window in the centre of the first floor.
