Description

This boundary stone, located approximately 2000 yards southeast of Nenthead in a field on the north side of the road, is a boundary marker likely dating from the mid-19th century. The stone stands about 4 feet high and features carved Roman lettering on two faces. The east face reads "D.G. Co." while the west face reads "Gov & Co.", which refers to Governor & Co., an alternative name for the London Lead Company.
