Description
This is a pair of boundary stones located on the Cartington and Longframlington boundary, likely dating from the late 18th century. They are made of cut sandstone and are rectangular pillars with segmental and arched tops, standing 0.45 and 0.40 metres high. The south-west faces of the stones feature incised Roman lettering 'D.N.', which may refer to the Duke of Northumberland. The reverse sides of the stones are plain.
