Description
Bank House and Bank Cottage are two houses built around 1780, with later additions and alterations. They are constructed of pebble-dashed rubble with stucco quoins on a plinth, which is vermiculated on the north return of Bank House. The buildings feature moulded, cast-iron gutters supported by dentils and have graduated slate roofs with rendered mid and end chimneys. Both houses are two storeys tall.
Bank House has four bays arranged in a 2:2 pattern. It includes a panelled door in a porch with wooden lattice decoration, flanked by sash windows on either side and two above. There is also a full-height canted bay and a tall stair window on the north return. Bank Cottage has three bays and is set forward from Bank House. It features a recessed panelled door with a part-glazed passage door to the left and a sash window to the right, with three sashes above. All of Bank Cottage's windows have 20th-century wooden shutters that are fastened back to either side.
