Description
16 and 16A Tudor Square is a house that has been converted into two shops, currently functioning as a café and a dwelling. It dates from the late 18th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features stucco over stone with a slate roof and consists of two storeys and an attic. The first floor has three windows. On the left side, there is a side-passage doorway leading to the shop, which has a recessed part-glazed door and a 19th-century shop window with a moulded sill, pilasters, and a cornice. To the right, there is another part-glazed door and a large window that replaces a former shop window. The first floor windows include three 20th-century casements, with the leftmost window being larger and set lower on a projecting sill. There is an end stack on the right side of the building. It adjoins No. 2 Ulverston Road.
