Description

Number 96 is a small house with an attached front garden wall, dating from the early 19th century. The house is cement rendered and features a graduated slate roof. It has two storeys and two bays, with a near-central doorway that has a part-glazed six-panel door set beneath a cornice supported by consoles. The windows are 16-pane sashes in thin surrounds, each with projecting stone sills. A cast-iron ogee gutter rests on shaped blocks, and there are stacks at either end of the roof. The front garden wall is enclosed by limestone corner piers topped with triangular copings. There is a 20th-century wing at the rear of the house, but it is not of special interest.
