Description
Beckside Conservative Club is a house that has been converted into a Conservative club, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of roughcast limestone with ashlar limestone dressings and features a graduated slate roof. The building is two stories tall with an attic and has a three-bay center that is set forward from the one-story, one-bay side wings. It has a plinth and a four-step stylobate leading to a central six-panel door located in a Doric porch. The windows have projecting sills and thin, raised surrounds, with margin-glazed, twelve-pane sashes and a sill band on the first floor. The building also features moulded cast-iron guttering and oversailing verges with bargeboards. There are ashlar end stacks, with the stack on the right side wing being heightened. At the rear, there is a tall round-arched stair window that has Gothick glazing bars.
