Description
16 and 16A Princess Street is a house that has been converted into commercial premises. It dates from the early 19th century, with a possible earlier core. The building is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and has a single-window range facing Princess Street, along with a two-storey wing that extends to Golden Cross Passage. The shop front has been updated, featuring doorways on either side of a bow window, and above are six-pane sash windows with flat-arched stuccoed heads. A high parapet nearly hides a dormer window. There is also a doorway on the side elevation with a plain architrave, and an inserted shop front in the rear wing.
