Description

This dovecote, located approximately 20 meters north-west of Nether Levens Farmhouse, is possibly from the 17th century. It is constructed from limestone rubble made of small stones and features slate drips. The roof is clad in metal and may have been reduced in height. On the east side, there is a single large opening supported by three massive oak lintels, with a small square opening above on all sides. Inside, there are nesting boxes for doves.
