Description
Old Forge House is a house that features a lintel inscribed with "17 WS 41" and includes later additions. The building is constructed of roughcast stone with ashlar dressings and has a slate roof. The south elevation consists of two storeys and three bays, with the first bay being a later addition. The first bay has casements in two square windows on the ground floor and one window on the first floor. The second and third bays contain two-light windows with flat-faced mullions set in chamfered reveals, while the ground floor of the third bay has a three-light window. The entrance is located between the second and third bays and features a dated lintel. The house has a cross-axial stack and a gable-end stack. The north elevation includes a gabled wing and a lean-to outshut that extends around the east return.
