Description

This is a barn located immediately to the west of Thwaite Cottage in Tirril, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a slate roof. The north-east elevation has an elliptical-headed entrance with paired doors, one of which is halved, along with ventilation slots. The south-west elevation includes a continuous outshut with a later lean-to shed, while the north-west elevation has an entrance to the outshut. The barn is included for its group value.
