Description

The Old Post Office is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. The south elevation has two storeys and three bays, with the first bay being a later addition. The windows have stone surrounds; the ground floor includes sash windows with glazing bars, while the third bay has a 20th-century casement window. On the first floor, there is a sash window with single glazing bars. The entrance, located between the second and third bays, is sheltered by a gabled canopy and features a half-glazed door. The building has gable-end stacks and a rear that includes a canted stair wing beneath a catslide roof. It is included for its group value.
