Description
This milestone, located approximately 60 meters south of the junction of the A6 with Moss Lane, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of dressed limestone and stands upright with a flat top and deep chamfers on the front corners. The stone is painted black and white, featuring black sans-serif lettering that reads "MILNTHORPE 2¾" on the south side and "LANCASTER 11" on the north side.
