Description
Hill Top Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse constructed from slobbered limestone rubble, featuring a slate roof and sandstone dressings. It has a two-unit central-entry plan with end stacks. The windows are chamfered with mullions, including two on the ground floor that were originally four lights but now have only one mullion each remaining, along with individual hood moulds. To the far right, there is a one-light chamfered fire window. On the first floor, there are two three-light chamfered windows and a later one-light window with plain reveals at the far right. The gutter is supported on stone corbels, and the left-hand gable wall features a one-light chamfered attic window. There are later extensions at the rear, where part of a semi-circular stair projection is visible. Inside, the left-hand room contains a 17th-century parlour fireplace with splayed chamfered jambs and a shaped lintel, while the right-hand room features a firehood bressumer and a spiral stone stair accessed through a doorway in the rear wall.
