II Houses, late C17th. Pebbledashed with slate roof. Two storeys with attics. No. 23 (to the north) has an open-fronted porch roofed by two sandstone flags, partly covering a 4-centred doorhead with hood mould, the doorway having chamfered jambs. The C17th front door remains, with studs and strap hinges. To the left of the porch are two modern windows with plain stone reveals, with a modern window with plain reveals to the right. On the 1st floor are 3 sashed windows with plain reveals. The attic has a central stone-gabled dormer with a 4-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window with hood mould. No. 21 (to the south) is of one unit with a wooden porch, a window to the left having plain reveals and a limestone lintel, and a sash whose upper leaf has glazing bars. On the 1st floor is a similar window. Chimneys on gables and between Nos. 21 and 23, the north chimney having a wooden corbelled frame near the apex, associated with the firehood. North gable has a one-light chamfered attic window. Later wing at rear. Interior. North room has massive cambered tie beam with blocked brace slots, re-used as a firehood bressumer, having a mortise for a heck post and the remains of the top rail of a spere.
