Description

This milestone, located approximately 150 meters north-north-west of the junction with Paradise Lane, north of Beetham, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of dressed limestone and features an upright design with a flat top and deep chamfers on the front corners. The stone is painted black and white, displaying black sans-serif lettering that reads "MILNTHORPE ¾" on the south side and "LANCASTER 13" on the north side. Additionally, there is a bench mark on the top.
