Description

This milestone, located approximately 200 meters north of Hornsbarrow, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of painted dressed stone and features a square base with broadly chamfered front angles, which gives it a triangular shape. On the left chamfer, it is inscribed with "KL/3," and on the right, it reads "KENDAL/10/MILNTHORPE/6½," with the figures set in sunk panels. There is a benchmark at the top, although the base is now buried.
