Description
The Cross Keys Hotel is an early 19th-century hotel, possibly incorporating part of an early 18th-century inn that previously occupied the site. It is constructed of limestone rubble with a dressed limestone plinth and features a graduated greenslate roof with a blue glazed ridge, end chimneys, and corniced gutters supported by paired square brackets. The building has a curved plan at the rounded corner and stands three storeys tall. It has six windows, which are sashes with glazing bars set in painted surrounds. The entrance features a six-panelled door within a pilastered stone surround that includes an entablature and cornice. To the right, there is a blocked door also with a pilastered stone surround, entablature, and a dentilled cornice. The outbuildings in the rear yard are not of interest.
