Barn and outbuilding. Probably early C18. Red sandstone rubble, slate roof. Tall, single-storey 5-bay barn with lower outbuilding on right overlapping and adjoining left end gable of Ormsgill Farmhouse (qv). Barn: large quoins; central waggon entrance with harr-hung boarded doors protected by slated canopy on stone side walls. Doorway on left has segmental arch; inserted window to its right. Projecting throughs and square vent holes. Kneelers and ashlar gable copings; 2 louvres on ridge to left. Outbuilding on right of barn is of 2 storeys with doorway to each floor. INTERIOR of barn: later, pattern-book king-post trusses.
