Description
The gateway and attached railings to the Borough Cemetery at North Lodge were built around 1874. They feature iron railings and gates, limestone piers, and a red sandstone dwarf wall with intermediate piers. The structure includes a vehicle entrance and a pedestrian side gate, with three curved panels of railings to the right and four panels to the left, which form the front boundary to North Lodge. The gate piers are chamfered, square in section, and topped with pyramidal shapes. The gates consist of square bars with scrolls above the dog bars and between twin top rails, along with cresting finials of two different heights and scrolled stiles. The railing panels are designed in the same style. This structure is included for its group value only.
