Description

Milestone south of Ann's Hill, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is made of whitewashed stone with a rounded top. A cast iron plate is fixed to the curved face, inscribed with the distances: Carlisle 24 miles, Wigton 14 miles, and Cockermouth 1.5 miles.
