Description

The wall and gates in front of Birkby House are from the early 19th century. They feature a low red sandstone wall with chamfered coping. The central gate and the piers at each end are made of painted rusticated stone, each topped with ball finials. This structure is listed for its group value with Birkby House and Birkby Cottage.
