Description
Birkby Lodge is an early 19th-century house located in Crosscanonby. It features painted stucco on a chamfered plinth and has a hipped roof made of graduated greenslate, with overhanging eaves supported by shaped wooden brackets. The house has stucco chimney stacks and is two storeys tall with three bays. The entrance includes a panelled door topped by an interlace overlight, all within a prostyle Ionic porch. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, and the ground floor windows are set in round-headed recesses.
