Description
The structure consists of a wall, gates, and gatepiers located to the north-west of Tickhill House, dating from around 1800, with mid to late 19th-century gates and gatepiers at the eastern end. The wall is made of large coursed squared sandstone and features heavy chamfered coping. It curves out from the north side of the forecourt, adjacent to the gatepiers, and extends along the south side of the driveway to meet the main road, with a short return to the south that holds a mid-20th-century post box. The margin-tooled gatepiers have patterned block caps and support double-leaf gates. This structure is included for its group value.
