Description
The Outer Gatehouse of Cockermouth Castle is a 14th-century structure featuring a vaulted design, a round arch, and a spiral staircase. The upper rooms connect to Lord Egremont's house and the eastern range of buildings. The inhabited sections of the castle are part of a group with the uninhabited areas.
