Description

The garden walls of the Castle, located south of Bowling Green House, are primarily constructed of old brick and likely date from the 18th century. These high walls enclose the former bowling green and separate the Castle grounds from the street. The inhabited sections of Cockermouth Castle are part of a group with the uninhabited sections.
